This is a work written for two students (Glena Kelso and Duncan Kelso, piano and cello respectively) giving them an original work to showcase their skills at the time it was written. The gentle dialogue between the cello and piano was written in a simplified style with the difficulty of the music increasing as their abilities grow and develop. The work was written shortly after the 9/11 horror in the hope of using music to quiet the anxieties and assuage the soul.
