Soundscapes is written for the basic complement of string instruments and is yet another in a series of works with long, slow moving, lines and interacting with and on other lines. My emphasis has been on the changes in the combinations of tones as they move in and out of each other creating a mosaic of tones similar to the music of Indian ragas. This music is best listened to in a quiet, semi-dark room with eyes closed!
